Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Dual Solitaire iOS/iPadOS/macOS application (the “Application”).
We built Dual Solitaire to be a simple, private head-to-head card game. We do not run analytics, do not show ads, do not offer in-app purchases, and do not sell or share your personal information. This policy explains the limited data the app does touch and why.
1. Information we do not collect
- We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites (NSPrivacyTracking is set to false in our app privacy manifest).
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
- The app contains no in-app purchases, so we never handle payment information.
2. Settings and statistics (stored on your device and in your iCloud account)
The app stores the following so your experience is consistent across your devices:
- Your game settings and preferences (for example sound, haptics, card and table options, and computer opponent difficulty).
- Your personal game statistics (games played, win rates, and streaks).
This data is saved on your device and synced through Apple’s iCloud to your private iCloud account, so it is available on your other iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices signed in to the same Apple Account. We cannot see or access data stored in your private iCloud account. iCloud is operated by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
3. Computer opponents
All five computer skill levels run entirely on your device. Games against the computer do not send any data off your device other than the statistics sync described above.
4. Game Center (multiplayer, achievements, and leaderboards)
If you are signed in to Apple’s Game Center, the app uses Game Center (GameKit) to:
- Read your Game Center display name and player identifier so opponents can see who they are playing and so your results are recorded against the right player.
- Exchange gameplay data (card moves, game state, and results) directly with your opponent during a head-to-head match with a friend or family member, via Apple’s Game Center match infrastructure.
- Report your achievements and leaderboard scores to Game Center. Leaderboard entries show your Game Center display name to other players, according to your Game Center privacy settings.
We do not store multiplayer data on our own servers. When a match ends, the session ends.
Game Center itself is operated by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can sign out of Game Center at any time in Settings on iOS/iPadOS or System Settings on macOS.
5. Required API disclosures
Per Apple’s App Store requirements, our privacy manifest declares the following standard API and its approved reason:
- UserDefaults – used to store your in-app preferences and statistics (Apple reason code CA92.1).
This declaration exists for transparency; the data stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account.
6. Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Multiplayer, achievements, and leaderboards rely on Apple’s Game Center, which has its own parental controls and age policies.
7. Your choices
- Disable multiplayer, achievements, and leaderboards: sign out of Game Center in Settings, or play only against the computer.
- Disable iCloud sync: turn off iCloud for Dual Solitaire in your device’s iCloud settings. Your settings and statistics will then stay on that device only.
- Delete your data: delete the app from your devices to remove locally stored data, and remove the app’s data from iCloud in your device’s iCloud storage settings.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice in the app.
